Vision

Giving and receiving are in essence, the same. There's a natural exchange between donor and recipient. To give of oneself to others is one of the most satisfying aspects of living. The concept of the Global Giving Circle is to enable its members feel fulfilled by channeling their talents and resources, be they financial, intellectual or physical into projects that empower others in need with the tools necessary to truly better their lives.

Story

The idea of the Giving Circle came to Shana Dressler as a result of her consultant work with the nationwide satellite channel Link TV. The channel shows eye-opening documentaries about the problems facing humanity, and the people who are doing great things to redress them.  In the course of her work at Link she was privy to the myriad emails from people who wrote in from everywhere, asking how they might help in some way. It became clear to her that there are a lot of people who really want to do something to make the world a better place, but they simply don’t know how to go about it. She decided to investigate how to connect this energy to the causes they felt so strongly about. She did a great deal of research on some of the brilliant alternative thinking in the field of humanitarian problem solving. She didn’t just research THINGS, she researched PEOPLE and met some amazing women and men who are as excited about this endeavor as she is to share their passion with you.

So here it is:  a destination for all of you out there who know deep down that helping others is the biggest high. It doesn’t matter whether you are well off or just getting by – there is a place for you here to contribute your time, your skills, and your passions. All of it is valuable and valued. This is how to make that difference.
